CAREER SERVICES

At the Gazi University, career services are carried out by individual centres established under each and every faculty (such as Kar-Yön, Kar-Dem, and etc.).
The aims of the career services which are the collaboration of academics, labour representatives and students are:

To support university students and provide professional guidance in developing their career plans and in their preparation for the labour market;

To make them get acquainted with the labour market by organising activities with the co-operation of university and business life; by creating opportunities to make them realise and develop their skills and competencies; by informing them about the problems faced during the job seeking period as well as about the qualifications and requirements to successfully get over its competitive nature; by providing the necessary information consistently; and by presenting the new graduates to the labour market;

To create internship (practice) opportunities and to support students' personal development by arranging technical study visits;

To bring students together with the representatives of Turkey's pioneering organisations/institutions by organising seminars, conferences and business presentations; and

To provide information about and to assist students in the preparation of relevant materials and documents necessary for job applications.

Additionally these centres and organisations offer professional career services as well as they organise various cultural and social activities, helping students develop inter-personal skills and enjoy a more pleasant university life.
